Description |
Positive photographic slide. Photograph depicts the BC Centennial Float of 1966 being towed by a sedan car on Shaughnessy Street. The car and float are decorated with white and red handmade crepe paper flowers. The float is made to be a large white scroll that reads: "B.C. Centennial 100 Years to December 1866 - 1966 Port Moody". There is a young girls in a white dress in front of a white flower tree seated at the back of the float. The pale blue Mason Lodge is visible in the background on Shaughnessy. Lynette Galer and her close friend are among the onlookers on the sidewalk in a blue bandana and blue jeans. |
