Description |
Positive photographic slide. Photograph depicts a "Buy-Rite" float going by during the May Day Parade in Port Coquitlam. The Buy-Rite float is primarily decorated in white handmade crepe paper flowers and red flowers to create font on the float like "Buy-Rite" and B-R" on the back of the float/ The people on the float are all dressed in red. There looks to be a band and dancers ahead of the B-R float in the parade down Shaughnessy street. There is a large crowd of observers along the sidewalk. The PoCo theatre and a sign for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce can be seen in the background of the image or on the other side of the street within the photograph. |
