Fred McCallum brought his family out from Tisdale, Sask. In 1947, and bought the old Morrison and Rodgers store on Shaughnessy, and renamed it the Red and White Store. In 1952 he built a modern super market on the corner of shaughnessy and whyte called the Super Valu, whihc featured a revolving speedy check out system, a new innovation. |
