Dimensions with frame; 29 x 24 cm Painting of Dewdney Trunk Rd. c. 1900 looking towards bridge, Coquitlam hotel on right, people walking, and horses. Signed Kali at BR of painting. Historical Context provided on backing: "Dewdney Trunk road was the main business street of the District of Coquitlam in the early 1900's. It ran through what was called Westminster Junction. This was named because of the Station and from this a spur line was made to New Westminster's main line. In the 1950's Dewdney Trunk road would be renamed Kingsway." Historical and Cultural Society, Art Focus Artist's Association, and Friend's of Leigh Square symbols featured on historical context note on backing. |
